Cathy Ferrazo
Vice Principal, Superior CVI
Cathy was born in Simcoe, Ontario and lived in Kitchener-Waterloo until the age of seven when she moved with her family to Thunder Bay. She considers Thunder Bay to be her hometown.
A secondary teacher for twenty years, Cathy taught at Marathon High School for 8 years and then moved back home to Thunder Bay where she taught for 5 years at Westgate, 4 years as a System Resource Teacher at the board office and 2 years as Vice-Principal at Hillcrest High School. Cathy is currently the Vice-Principal at Superior Collegiate Vocational Institute.
Cathy is married to Lorenzo Ferrazzo and they have two beautiful children. Their daughter Paige, is in her second year of university and their son Roman, is in grade 11. Cathy’s family also includes two terri-poos named Sandy and Kono. The Ferrazzo’s enjoy spend most of their leisure time at the hockey rink.
Cathy has been actively involved in supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Cancer Society whenever possible and believes in the power of volunteering. Cathy first became involved with United Way four years ago as a regular payroll donor at her workplace and she is excited to a part of the 2012 Campaign Team.
