Jim Adams
Ontario Public Service Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
Jim is Director of the North Region Employment and Training Division of the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, a position he has held since November of 2009. Since 1989, Jim has worked in seven different ministries in a variety of management and executive roles in the Northern Region. He has resided in Thunder Bay his entire life with the exception of a short stay in London.
Jim wanted to contribute to the community in a meaningful way and decided that he could achieve this by to becoming involved as United Way of Thunder Bay’s Chair of the OPS Campaign team. His outlook for the year is to create and bring new strategies to the campaign.
An important aspect of his life is family – his wife Diane and sons Jaymeson and Zachary. As well, Jim is very active in a variety of interests. Staying in true Northern fashion, Jim is an avid curler and has competed in 7 National Championships. As the seasons change, he trades his broom in for a club, enjoying a good game of golf.
